At the October 5, 2026 Town Council Meeting a Proclamation was made that the month of October 2026 be recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Citizens are encouraged to participate in activities that will increase awareness of what Americans can do to prevent breast cancer, and to wear pink in honor of those who have lost their lives to breast cancer and those who are now bravely fighting this disease.
