Parks & Recreation

Recreation Partnerships:

The Town of Archer Lodge is proud of it's strategic partnerships with Archer Lodge Community Center (ALCC) and Johnston County Little League (JCLL). We greatly appreciate the collaborative efforts of these organizations in providing recreation facilities, programs, and resources to the Archer Lodge Community. 

Recreation Facilities:

• Archer Lodge Town Park - The park opened in 2024 and includes the following amenities:
  • Two baseball/softball fields
  • Playground
  • Open space
  • Walking track
  • Dog park
  • Multipurpose field (expected to open Fall 2026 once grass is fully established)
  • Pickleball courts (currently under construction)
  • Pavilion I/Picnic Shelter (available for rent)
  • Pavilion II
  • Restrooms

• Archer Lodge Community Center Park - The Town coordinates with the Archer Lodge Community Center and has a long-term lease on its outdoor facilities, which includes:
  • The Hoyt G. Castleberry baseball/softball field
  • Multipurpose field
  • Playground
  • Picnic shelter
  • Ampitheater
  • Restrooms

• Multipurpose Field - A town field across the street from Archer Lodge Community Center Park and beside the Archer Lodge Veterans Memorial

Construction of Pickleball Courts:

The construction of Pickleball Courts at the Archer Lodge Town Park has begun. We look forward to their opening in the near future.

"Popsicles in the Park" Reading Summer Program:

The Town of Archer Lodge will offer a "Popsicles in the Park" reading program this summer at the Archer Lodge Town Park. The program will introduce author/musician Luke Vandergriff to the Archer Lodge Community.
