SALARY & BENEFITS PACKAGE

BIWEEKLY PAYROLL
 
MEDICAL COVERAGE - Coverage is provided through the North Carolina State Health (80/20) Plan,
which is administered by Blue Cross of North Carolina. The Town pays the entire cost of the health insurance for
regular full-time employees (exceptions may apply). Employees may purchase dependence coverage.
 
DENTAL COVERAGE - Coverage is provided through the North Carolina League of Municipalities (NCLM),
which is administered by Delta Dental. The Town pays the entire cost of dental insurance for regular full-time employees.
Employees may purchase dependent coverage.
 
VISION COVERAGE - Coverage is provided through NCLM, which is administered by Vision Services Plan.
The Town pays the entire cost of vision insurance for regular full-time employees. Employees may purchase
dependent coverage.
 
LIFE & AD&D INSURANCE - Coverage is provided through NCLM, which is administered by UNUM.
The Town pays the cost of these insurance policies for regular full-time employees, which covers 1.5 times the
employees salary (maximum of $300,000). Employees may purchase supplemental life insurance coverage for
dependents.
 
SHORT-TERM DISABILITY - Coverage is provided through NCLM, which is administered by UNUM. The Town pays
the entire cost of short-term disability insurance for regular full-time employees.
 
 RETIREMENT - The Town participates in the North Carolina Local Government Employees Retirement System (NCLGERS).
Employees must contribute 6% to the retirement account, which is payroll deducted.
 
401(k) RETIREMENT - The Town currently contributes 8% for the 401(k) plans for regular full-time employees.
Employees may elect to make a voluntary contribution to the plan, which is payroll deducted.
 
OTHER VOLUNTARY INSURANCE - Coverage is provided through Cornerstone Benefits, which is administered by
Colonial Insurance. Employees my purchase voluntary coverage.
