Development Permitting Process


Step 1: Complete Archer Lodge Development Permit  Application

b. Attach a site plan/sketch drawn to scale showing what will be built. Note: Additional site detail/information may be needed upon review of site plan/sketch plan.

Step 2: Complete Johnston County Environmental Health Department Well and/or Septic Application

*Note: Archer Lodge Planning Staff will review your  your Development Permit Application for compliance with zoning, water supply watershed protection and flood damage prevention/site/sketch plan ordinance provisions. Upon preliminary approval, Planning Staff will email you a letter for you to include/attach to your well and/or septic application (initial evaluation or re-inspection [whichever is applicable]).

Step 3: Archer Lodge Development Zoning Permit Issuance

a. Provide copy of Johnston County Environmental Health Permit

b. NCDOT Driveway Permit, when applicable.

b. Pay Archer Lodge Development Permit Application Fee.

Step 4: Obtain Applicable Johnston County Inspection Department Construction Permits
